With the reemergence of the old school 90’s Nickelodeon properties such as Rugrats, Keenan and Kel, Slime and more coming back into the forefront via the Nickelodeon SPLAT! TV programming block, Nickelodeon wanted to partner their beloved Rugrats brand of characters with an iconic apparel brand that would really get parents and kids excited. Enter none other than the Footwear News Retailer of the Year award winner, KITH.
The collaboration featured unisex adult and children’s apparel (sweaters, tees, hoodies, hats and more) and was first teased on the runway during NYFW at the inaugural KITH Fashion Show in September. The collection hit all of KITH’s doors this past November and quickly sold out in a matter of minutes. Press ran the gamut from Hypebeast to Vogue to Complex, to Esquire to HighSnobiety and more.
The launch of the collection was capped off with a Saturday Morning Cartoon Event at the Brooklyn location featuring real life Rugrats characters, a special Rugrats themed KITH Treats menu, and some of the coolest kids and parents that NYC has to offer.
